I am interested in the relationship between what we see and what we believe to be true. Perception is not merely passive, but rather it is the constant evaluation of our surroundings against our socialized values. I believe that our privileging of sight in the contemporary milieu reflects our desire to become what we see.

As both a practicing artist and a designer, I constantly witness the evolution of institutionalized beauty as a persistent homogenization of our vision. Both art and design are revolutionary tools to help us see what is currently unconscious.
